Who doesn’t love a good chicken homemade Chick-Fil-A sandwich? While I was at the grocery store one day I walked down the aisle to grab some more ketchup, that’s when I saw it! The Chick-Fil-A sauces.

It was then that I was really in the mood to eat a chicken sandwich. So I started my quest down the frozen meat isle to look at the options for chicken patties. I didn’t want just any chicken patty. I wanted something that looked and tasted like real chicken. Since I’ve not yet mastered making my own breaded chicken, I didn’t dare try and do it myself. (Maybe one day I will figure it out).

After looking at the options I started to get discouraged. Then I saw it… the lightly breaded chicken fillets. I started to rejoice! The store actually sold a chicken patty that was a real piece of chicken and not some super duper processed chicken that you are not sure where it came from.

So what did I do? I bought a bag, grabbed some buns and other ingredients. And just like that I had a quick and easy dinner ready for my family in about 30 mins.

What you’ll need for this recipe:

  • 1 Bag of lightly breaded chicken fillets: I like to use the Just bare brand, or the Costco lightly breaded chicken fillets.
  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Cheddar Cheese: Or any other cheese you prefer.
  • Tomato
  • Ketchup or Chick-Fil-A Sauce
  • Avocado

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to package directions for waffle fries or chicken fillets.
  1. Place fries in a pan and place desired amount of chicken on another pan. Once oven is pre-heated, place fries and chicken fillets in the oven to cook.
  1. While the chicken and the fries are cooking. Wash the lettuce and tomato. Leave the lettuce in large leaf’s and slice the tomato. Slice or mash the avocado if using.
  1. Once chicken is done cooking, assemble your sandwich.
  1. Scoop some waffle fries onto a plate and enjoy!
